Galveston, Texas company Taste of the Strand wants to remind visitors that when they visit Galveston Island, they’re running on island time — especially when they embark on the company’s recently launched walking tour called Tapas on the Strand. The tour offers a variety of local food and signature drink pairings.
Taste of the Strand is behind Galveston Island’s original walking food tours, which explore the Historic Downtown Strand District. Tourists are able to enjoy the best local food and drink available while viewing charming shops and historic destinations along the way.
The recently launched Tapas on the Strand food pairing tour embraces the company’s new theme of “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” as it’s exclusively for adults ages 21 and older.
Each designated stop has a signature or specialty drink paired with a delicious treat. For a complete cultural experience to match the exquisite culinary one, each specially picked stop will include information from knowledgeable guides about the historical and cultural background of each establishment.
The other tour available is the original Taste of the Strand tour, which offers a family-friendly food-tasting experience. Customers can experience stops at unique sightseeing spots and tourist destinations along the way. It can give families ideas for further activities or exploration during their time on Galveston Island.
Both tours offer guests the luxury of relaxing without the added worry of crowds, reservation juggling, searching the internet for recommendations, or sifting through restaurant reviews. Each tour lasts approximately two hours.
